DCBIA Summer Happy Hour & Silent Auction for Community Improvement Day

On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Franklin Hall (1348 Florida Ave NW), DCBIA will host an exciting evening of networking, drinks, and bidding — all in support of a great cause!
Join the DCBIA Young Leaders Committee and the DCBIA Community Improvement Day Design & General Contractor Charrette Team for a Happy Hour and Silent Auction to raise funds for DCBIA Community Improvement Day, our annual all-volunteer effort to revitalize parks and recreation spaces across the District. This year’s project will take place at Anacostia Park on September 20, 2025, and your support will help us purchase the tools, materials, and supplies needed to make a lasting impact.

This event is open to all — the more, the merrier (and the higher the bids)! Every dollar raised brings us closer to transforming Anacostia Park into a vibrant and welcoming space for the community.

- Transform the U.S. Map educational area.
- Create an outdoor classroom at the Urban Tree House.
- Enhance an indoor classroom near the famous roller skating pavilion.
- Upgrade the riverbank for improved boat access and ecological clean-up.
