DCBIA / DDOT AGENCY WORKING GROUP

March 6 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Next Meeting: Friday, March 6 at 1pm

The DCBIA DDOT Agency Working Group is the primary forum for collaboration between the District Department of Transportation and the real estate development community. Recognizing that a thriving city requires a seamless transportation ecosystem, this group ensures that District goals for mobility and safety are balanced with the practical needs of project delivery. By participating, members gain a seat at the table to engage with leadership across critical divisions, including the Public Space Committee (PSC) and the Planning and Sustainability Division (PSD).

This is where the District’s vision meets site-level realities—addressing everything from standard occupancy permits to complex Development Project Agreements (DPA) for high-impact infrastructure. Our discussions provide essential feedback on the 2024 Guidance for Comprehensive Transportation Review (CTR), land development actions like Large Tract Reviews, and the evolving Downtown Residential Streetscape Guidelines for office-to-residential conversions. We ensure that the development community remains a driving force in creating a vibrant, accessible public realm while navigating the “on-the-ground” complexities of streetscape design and transportation infrastructure.

Why Attend?

  • Direct Access: Engage with the Neighborhood Planning Branch and Infrastructure Project Management Administration (IPMA) on scoping and technical analysis requirements.

  • Streamline Approvals: Provide critical input on the permitting process for non-standard occupancy, including projections, sidewalk cafes, over-height retaining walls, and security bollards.

  • Advisory Influence: Your expertise helps shape DCBIA’s formal policy recommendations to executive leadership on major city-wide initiatives like the DC 2050 Comp Plan.

REGISTER NOW: Join us for our next session on March 6 to stay informed on the latest CTR guidelines and help drive the future of DC’s public space.
