The DCBIA Construction & Development Committee is a dynamic exchange for the builders, general contractors, architects, engineers, project managers, and all other real estate discipline professionals who physically shape the District’s landscape. Recognizing that a thriving city requires a seamless development ecosystem, this committee focuses on the practical and technical aspects of project delivery, from navigating evolving building codes to streamlining permit processing. By joining, members gain a seat at the table to discuss the “on-the-ground” complexities of construction, including sustainable design, supply chain resilience, and labor availability. We ensure the development community remains a driving force in delivering high-quality, resilient projects while encouraging a regulatory environment that supports technical feasibility and safety for all DC stakeholders, working alongside other DCBIA committees.
