We believe that at this time words do not suffice – we need action. Therefore, DCBIA has recognized it has an important role to play to ensure that our association, and the members we serve, rise to the occasion. We have embarked upon a series of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategic initiatives to address the under-representation of African Americans and other minority groups in all aspects of real estate development. In addition to providing educational forums and resources, we will partner with industry peers and experts to promote hiring and contracting, workforce development, advocacy, and networking opportunities. And, to hold ourselves accountable, we will share our performance outcomes and metrics. This will not be a seasonal initiative – rather we believe that our mission is to BUILD our city by providing thought leadership, mentoring, educational & business development opportunities that create a culture of inclusion, innovation, and excellence.
