February 16 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
On February 16, 2024 at 10:00 AM, The DCBIA Housing Committee will host an in-person discussion with Jack Lynch, Hickok Cole at the offices of Community Three, 700 K Street NW – 3rd Floor, Washington, DC on the use of AI in Architecture. This meeting is for current members only. Space is limited. We ask that members register in advance.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being explored throughout the design and construction industry to maximize workflow and efficiency. But while it cannot replace human decision making or innovation, there are creative ways professionals are incorporating it into the design process. Architecture studio Hickok Cole has tested AI chatbot ChatGPT’s capabilities to design a large mixed-use building with a green roof and a swimming pool as a part of their ongoing research in emerging technologies. Our speaker for this meeting will highlight the pros and cons of using AI and discuss ways it is trending in architecture and design
