DCBIA Community Improvement Day

September 24, 2022 @ 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

This year, DCBIA will partner again with the Department of Parks & Recreation to bring architectural and general contracting expertise to the Oxon Run Park in Congress Heights for community members to enjoy the Park for years to come!

DCBIA returns to Oxon Run Park in Ward 8 to continue renovation upgrades started pre-pandemic in 2019. With natural resources to rival any riparian area in DC, Oxon Run Park features trails, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, an amphitheater, picnic shelters, pedestrian bridges, and playgrounds. From years of deferred maintenance yet a steadily growing number of visitors, the park is in need of maintenance of existing work, general repair, landscaping, and general clean-up to support existing and future community-led programming. DCBIA architects continue to meet with community members to plan for the big day in the fall.

We need your volunteer and financial support to help make this happen!

Join us to network with a purpose!

We are encouraging DCBIA and community members to join us on Saturday, September 24 from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm to do volunteer work as part of our DCBIA Community Improvement Day.

DCBIA Community Improvement Day is an activity of the DCBIA Community Services Corporation. All financial donations are tax-deductible! Please consider giving! All donation levels welcome! Give your time and volunteer!
