DCBIA Construction & Development Committee Meeting

DCBIA’s Construction & Development Committee led by Howard Chapman, Vice President, Coakley & Williams Construction and Chizzy Nwobodo, Senior Structural Engineer of ARUP, responds to the needs of the commercial construction and development industry by evaluating trends, supporting and developing real estate development leaders, and influencing federal and local legislative and regulatory proposals. Like many, in 2020, the Committee pivoted to host topical and timely webinars to adjust to the restrictions imposed on the construction industry because of the public health and safety of the general public. These webinars always included a focus on recovery and hope.

It is now time for Committee members to continue the momentum by reconnecting as a Committee to consider new trends, new conversation topics, ongoing legislation and regulation, and invite relevant speakers to the Committee meetings and events. Help us focus on the future of the industry, expand the influence of the members of this Committee, and ensure we continue to network to create business development opportunities during a very unpredictable, unforgiving period.
