Launched in 2018, the Washington Housing Conservancy acquires and owns real estate through a triple bottom line model that works to preserve and develop affordable workforce housing units in high impact areas in the DC region. The private-sector driven initiative uses three vehicles – the Washington Housing Conservancy, the Impact Pool (a private investment vehicle managed by JBG Smith), and a Stakeholder Council to deliver workforce housing using a model other private sector and their public and civic partners can follow.
