Community Improvement Day – CANCELLED Due to Rain

Due to increasingly poor weather conditions, DCBIA is cancelling the 2016 Community Improvement Day scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, October 1 at the Benning Terrace Recreation Center in Ward 7.
The rain that has already fallen over the last few days on the site and the rain that is expected prohibits the type of outdoor work planned for volunteers tomorrow.
However, Phase 1 of the #BuildCommunity Movement will continue through the small group of design and contractor teams into next week, improving the site for Benning Terrace residents beginning tomorrow.
We look forward to inviting you to potential rescheduled volunteer opportunities and to Phase 2 in 2017 after the DC Housing Authority implements their planned stormwater management facilities.
With your help, the final result will be a thriving sports, recreation and activity space for Benning Terrace residents.
